The target audience for this course is:
▪ All employees in the Wires environment requiring authorization as defined in the ORHVS as an Appointed Operator and according to the assessment standard
After completing this course, the learner should be able to:
1. Discuss the background to the Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS).
2. Describe the regulatory requirements for access to and supervision in prohibited and or restricted areas.
3. Differentiate between the different levels of authorisations as stipulated in the ORHVS.
4. Explain the communication requirements regarding the different abnormal conditions that need to be reported to Control.
5. Explain how keys shall be kept in substations.
6. List the responsibilities of the person issued with keys.
7. Explain and distinguish between the different access-controlled areas.
8. List the requirements for supervision
